C&M Associates, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Associate Traffic Engineer. This is a remote position based anywhere in the United States. Responsibilities include helping ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget; assisting with planning, scheduling, or coordinating detailed phases of work for projects; being inquisitive and willing to learn and grow; making revisions based on results of QA/QC; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) registration

  • Minimum of 0-3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of traffic studies/corridor studies

  • Knowledge of the transportation planning process

  • Experience with VISSIM and/or Synchro

Preferred Requirements:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience

  • TxDOT pre-certifications for traffic engineering related categories

  • Experience with travel demand modeling and/or traffic volume forecasting

  • Experience with traffic signal design and timing

  • Experience with ITS design and integration
